Extra concert for Auckland

After the 17 March 2006 concert in Auckland, New Zealand sold out in less than two hours, wildly contradictory rumours began circulating about whether or not there would be a second concert. However, the New Zealand Herald has now published confirmation that there will be a second concert in Auckland. The show will be on 18 March 2006, with tickets on sale next Monday, 12 December. Unfortunately, no details have yet been printed on Ticketmaster New Zealand's websites.

In addition, the website of Australia/NZ promoter Michael Coppel Presents states "stay tuned for a special announcement tomorrow" in its U2 section. It is believed that this announcement will confirm second shows for Melbourne and Sydney, which are currently rumoured to be on 25 March in Melbourne and 30 March in Sydney.

Update: An article from news agency NineMSN indicates that the second Sydney show will actually be held on 1 April.
